hi object doesnt detect any devices.

Hi all,

I know there are other threads about the the hi object but i couldnt find any usefull information in those. I also walked through the tutorials but still have a big issue.

I want to use a tablet for controlling parameters in max msp. but when i use the menu message to list devices nothing comes up. It says 0 devices. Im using the tutorial patch for testing so im sure that isnt the issue. Ive installed drivers for the tablet, and it also shows up in the windows hardware section. I also tried detecting it without the drivers installed.

Ive also find some things about the wacom object but that doesnt seem to exist for windows.(?) Im using max 5.0 on win 7.

The tablet im using is a Dataline tablet with a pen. Also theres wacom writtenon the back.

I need this for a school project and i really want to learn building these kind of things. Does anyone know of a solution for this?
