I’m wondering if there is a simple way to query the elements recognized by the hi element. I’m hoping for a very simple way to obtain information regarding what actions are recognized and the output number for each of the actions. I’d like to know which actions are being tracked and their associated element number so that I can easily route data.

Further, when I do not have any external devices connected, my mac shows a list of six devices – Apple IR, Apple Internal Keyboard/Trackpad, Trackpad, Trackpad 2, Trackpad 3, Apple Internal Keyboard/Trackpad 2. What is the difference between all of these trackpads?

I can do a lot of my own digging, I just don’t know how to go about even making lists/gathering data on what information is being polled. Any helped would be greatly appreciated.
