So my first question of this new rounded corner year 2010 is :

Is there a max message for showing or hiding toolbar like hide or show menubar...

I tried ... but maybe i'm missing something.

And in case it isn't included...could it be one day?

Uncheck the Show Toolbar on Open attribute in patcher preferences. I'm not sure if there is a message for thispatcher which does this.

[toggle] into [toolbar $1] message into [thispatcher] object works. however, it does not work instantly - you have to close patch and reopen for it to work. so not very useful as dynamically changeable - unlike all the menubar messages to thispatcher which work instantly. shame, but i seem to remember reading somewhere that this is just the way it is with the max5 toolbar. someone correct me if i'm wrong.

At least as of max 6.1.9, this message to thispatcher generates an error "patcher: doesnt understand toolbar"

I believe the message is [toolbarvisible $1] but it is as PID describes above — the patch must be opened and closed.
