highlighting patchcords going out from one object

February 1, 2011 | 11:48 am

hi all,

this seems to be a very obvious thing, but i did not find an answer in the tutorials or in the forum, so :

is there a possibility to choose one object (in a max patcher) and then let you show where all the connections going out from this object (…from its outlet) are actually going, like maybe highlighting all the patchcords that go out from this objects outlet ? such a feature would help me immensely to gain overview in some bloated patches.

is this feature there and i am just not finding it ??

thanks for every kind of help…

[alt/option]+[click]+[drag] (‘lassoo’) around the patch chords. if you select anything else accidentally just shift click it ‘off’.
also look in the ‘view’ and ‘arrange’ menus.

thank you pid, that is already not bad. but i was more thinking about just clicking on the object and then have a command to get all patchcords that are going out highlighted. its not a big difference but would be nice. is there something like it ?
