Hipno in Standalones?
My current project includes standalones for use as part of scores given to computer players in a laptop orchestra.
Three questions, please:
1) Would Hipno work in Max 5 standalones?
2) Would there be licensing issues, as long as the distributions are free?
3) Can you think of any other questions that should be asked?
Thanks!
Will Grant
Ali Momeni has some very hipno-like things in his pocket. He just updated some of it (don't think it's posted on his site yet) to work with the recallmulti message in pattrstorage.http://www.alimomeni.net
look for the alib in the share section or something like that. In the alib, there's a folder called "for xy spaces".
Thanks, Peter! Have a loopy weekend!
Hello friend,
Indeed the interpolation space business has been my business for many years now; I developed most of the stuff at CNMAT back in 2000-2001; Tim Place saw our paper (http://alimomeni.net/interpolation-spaces) in NIME 2001 and got very excited about it; he was kind enough to make an extern (tap.jit.ali, part of tap.tools) that helped with that sort of interpolation. Then came Hipno... Eventually, pattr came along and it seemed critical to make the interpolation world talk to pattr. Until peter revealed the existence of the recallmulti message to pattrstorage this week (thanks peter!), i was using two different js's to do the work. Now the space interpolation business (like that of Hipno) is super simple, powerful and fast! I'll be updating aLib in the next couple of days with new code/help files. If you are in a hurry feel free to contact me off the list....

No hurry... Thanks, Ali
