Just the other day I started getting the error messages below when Max loads (before opening any patches). My guess is that they are innocuous, but I'd like to know what I need to do to clear whatever is causing them. (And I'd be interested to know why something like this would happen).

how-do-i-clear-a-max-sqlite_exec-error

I've been getting them too since 6.1.5. I noticed in the 6.1.6 notes that that might have been cleared up but the errors are still there.

"sqlite_exec_query: SELECT file_id FOM files WHERE path_id_ext = #### AND vailidity = 0"

"sqlite_exec: 18 (string or blob too big)"

then it starts getting into filenames like:

"sqlite_exec_query: SELECT file_id FOM files WHERE filename = *.mxe/*.exe"

No unfortunately it's been a while I didn't see this one. I didn't do anything particular to get rid of it,

so I guess it went away after an udpate or reinstall ...

I think this has to do with the File Preferences, because yours points also to personal folders apparently,

maybe check these (reselect the folder in the File Prefs for instance). Anyway, this was never a real problem to me.

The problem was the character in some text comments. When I saved the patch, every new saved, the size of the file became bigger and bigger (start from 5Mo to 130Mo !) . I used this character "•"

I install again Max following this instructions

I think the problem starts from the 7.3 version.

So for now it's better to not use strange characters , waiting for a new MAX version ...
