how do i make a [zl] do this?

Take a list in one inlet and output the list in a specified order from another list (or is there another way). Such as:

//list to be compared
1 2 3 4;

//user input- some message to re order them
$i2 $i1 $i4 $i3 //or zero if base value

//object output
2 1 4 3

or if the mighty zl cannot do it… what can?

please help
