Hi!

I have a movie in jitter i get from the media library. but how do I type the path if I want to get it from elsewhere. I have tried with:

[read Macintosh HD:/Users/myname/desktop/my folder/myfile.mov]

but it doesnt seems to be correct.

what shall the correct path be?

open your terminal and drag the file there, it will give you the path inside your HD. Then just put ‘read [path]‘

[read "Macintosh HD:/Users/myname/desktop/my folder/myfile.mov"]

Note the ""s

The problem of what you specify is that there is a space in the /my folder/ portion. Probably the maxwindow shows the complaint that read has multiple arguments. If you put quotes around the entire path, it might work. If you want to check the format, you can always use the opendialog object.

hehehe, sorry, i forgot the ""
still, the most secure way to know the path is throwing the object on the terminal, it is a rather useful trick!
