How do you step through the JavaScript code for debugging?

Hello,

I’ve setup some recursion in JavaScript and this is one of the cases where walking through the code would be nice. Currently I’m just using post statments for debugging but I would like to know if there is way to step through code line by line in JavaScript related to MFL patches.

Thanks,
Brett

Hi,

One way would be to test all the non-max specific part of your recursion
in:

  1. Firefox with FireBug plugin
  2. Chrome

I am Familiar with firebug, where you can set breakpoints etc…

Good luck,
Panos

Hey,

Thank you for the thought but the recursioon is fully depndant on MFL because of the way I am raversing the parent/child structure of the Live Path. That is why I was wondering if one could step through the JavaScript code in MAX. For now, I’m just added more post messages.

Thanks,
Brett
