I'm probably either doing this wrong or don't actually understand how it works, but some help would be appreciated!

I'm working on a patch that uses groove~ objects inside of poly~. I've got the muting of the poly~s working correctly, but because I'm loading them with a very large buffer, I wanted to make sure that I'm making the patch as efficient as possible.

I've got a Macbook Pro with a Core 2 Duo, and am under the impression that the only thing that can take advantage of using both cores is poly~ with parallel 1.

I would imagine that this would produce an instant improvement in DSP usage; however in my patch, with parallel 0, I'm hovering around 3-4% and spiking just under 20% when several poly~ instances are triggered, and hovering around 15% and spiking around 30% with parallel 1.

Am I not understanding how this works? Or doing it wrong?
