how intense is Jitter on graphics cards?

hey,
I was wondering if anyone out there could please help me out- I’m currently working on a max msp patch aimed toward live performance, I ultimately intend in the patch to incorporate jitter objects, to produce and maniplate a visual live, and also to read the incoming signal from a webcam. I have a macbook with 2GB memory. It doesn’t have a dedicated graphics card like the macbook pro’s, but do you it is reasonable to ask it to run audio software, generate and manipulate video, and read incoming video thought the iSight camera simultaneously? – or what the macbook pro see significant performance difference?
thanks very much
Tom

thank, yeah I’m gonna have to run some tests. My biggest concern with the macbook graphic card is that it is shared, whereas the previous powerbooks had dedicated graphics cards. The macbook beats pwerbook in terms of processor and memory, but without the dedicated graphics card, I’m not sure right now if it could handle the load… of course, like you say, it depends largely on the intensity of the processing power of MSP and Jitter. If anyone out there has any experience carrying such tasks on either machines, I’d appreciate it if you could let me know, just for comparisons sake.
Thanks very much
Tom
