How to access Server volumes on Windows

I posted this already under a different topic, but no answers…
I need to read and write files from and to computers on a Windows LAN
which are on different computers. Folder and dropfile do not give me
valid results (they stay empty or don’t output anything). I am stuck,
but I am sure someone must have been done something like that…
The server volumes do not have a drive letter. Do I have to prepare them
somehow for having a letter??? I don’t know much about Windows…

I can easily access windows volumes from a Mac with OS 9, but this time
the patch has to run on a Windows machine…

Any takers?

Stefan

Answering myself for the archives:
The volumes need a drive letter, then everything works as expected…
