I would like to create a flow field in max a bit like this one

However instead of being controlled by perlin noise, it would be controlled by Arduino data, magnetic field, wind direction possibly.

Are there any patches around that will give me the frame work to develop this patch, I don't know much about jitter and am not sure where to start?
