how to generate a bang when no events in one second occur? (for error messages)

Dear user,

I have programmed the following patch. I want to generate an error message when the JackRouter is not started. Thus, I need a bang when no events in one second occur. How do I do it?

Hallo, maybe I have a very simple idea ( without having had a look at your patch….) : connect anything what happens via a bang to a delay or pipe( 1 second ), triggering first the "stop" op this delay.As long as something happens nothing comes ut of this delay ( or pipe ).
