How to get Powermate data in max?

How to get Powermate data in max?

I want to control my floats with this griffin
powermate usb-fed knob controller .How do i get max to
recognise it? hi object doesn’t see it .Like i need
drivers, or what? I am using Max 4,6 on
leopard.Thanks.

A student at one of the workshops I worked had one of those. We figured
the best way to get them into Max was to go in the control panel for the
powermate and change it over to keyboard mode (maybe it was a custom
configuration). This way you could use the [key] object to track
up-increments,down-increments, and button presses.

That’s how I use it too. Use the PowerMate control panel to translate
your twists and turns into keypresses, then intercept these in Max.

I’ve used these drivers in the past:

They turn the powermate into a HI device. I have no idea about leopard compatibility.
