how to know when vst~ is plugged ?

i didn’t find it in the doc.
i would like to have information in my patche (like the number of parameters written in the max window) when i plug a plugin in [vst~]. but nothing comes out [vst~] outlets. and i can’t send message to [vst~] before i’m sure the plugin is plugged.

it’s just because i want to send the values of parameters to a multislider as soon as is plugged or just after.

help please.
thx.

i suppose with “plugged” you mean that it has
finished loading?
unfortunately we dont know when. just put a 2000
milliseconds delay onto the process you want to
perform after the plug-in has ben loaded, thats
safe for 99% of the plug-ins on any ~1Ghz computer.

I needed more occasionally. It depends a lot of how much is going on
elsewise.
When I came across this I put a big demand on such a feature, I hope it
had been listened. This is as crucial as the bang outlet on the buffer~
and some other loading objects. It should be easy, because if Max is
able to print to the Max window, it should be easy to just add a bang to
an additional outlet to that function…
