How to program a click-to-map feature in a M4L device?

I’d like to recreate the “Map” button like you see in the MIDI LFO device that comes with M4L. The problem is that I can’t look at that code effectively being that it’s nested into 5 billion subpatches.

I’d just like to know how to go about this. Thanks.

EDIT: GOT IT! For anyone else interested, I’ll leave this answer: I observed the selected_parameter value until it changed, stored that object(DeviceParameter), and then went from there! All of this is available to look at in the Live Object Model and Live API of course.
