I've downloaded boids_max_jitter_UB_1.1.zip and placed the unzipped contents in the Max5/Cycling '74 folder.

Only a few of the objects work, most of them show errors and I haven't found any explanations in the readme files on where

to put the objects. I've tried placing some in the max-externals folder and others in the jitter-externals folder but with no luck.

on my max i have similar problem. i have place boids library on max external and when i create a new box and write boids2D or 3D inside object stay in grey. i do alt/click on it, help patch open, and the boid object inside it run good. I copy/paste it on my patch... next when i open my patch the object work good.
