I have some interchangeable "module"-patchers inside a bpatcher...

(using "script sendbox bpatcher-scripting-name replace new-patcher-file-name" -> [thispatcher])

...patchers that I often modify from inside the bpatcher...

(using the great "Modify Read-Only" option in the file menu, after doing ctrl-click on the bpatcher > object > New view of...)

...but when I select another patcher to be loaded inside the bpatcher, i would like that, if the old patcher have been modified, bring a "Save As..." dialog. Max doesn't bring it, so i'm able to test for the dirty bit using js (this.patcher.wind.dirty) But then i can't find a way to open a "Save As..." dialog... ?

Using "write"-> [thispatcher] just overwrite it without the possibility to change the name. In thispatcher.maxhelp it tells about bringing a "Save As..." dialog, but i don't get how...

Anyway my thing wouldn't work because the dirty-bit test doesn't work properly while testing in a bpatcher's patcher... (it gives me the dirty bit of the principal patcher in fact)

you could script [opendialog] and then connect it and then script [loadbang] ... :) no, that wont work.
