How to use midi signals from Ableton Live to control movies

I’m pretty new to max/msp/jitter and my idea for my use of it was to have Jitter be synced with the music everytime i started played a clip in live. In other words; if i played a clip in live, that would cause Jitter to play a certain clip to go along with the music from the clip in live.

I tried to make a patcher myself, using the “midiin” object to send a bang to a “time” object so that the clip got reset everytime it received a midi-signal. This worked well, the only problem was that it reacted to any midi-signal, and not just certain midi-signals. Is there any way to make Jitter understand the different midisignals coming from Live?

NOBODY knows how to do this?? Seems like such simple basic thing to do. I’ve tried everything and all i need is some object or a message which separates the different midi values and sends them to different messages!! How is that so hard?
