I was experimenting with trying to get an idea to work and got a stack overflow message! So I'm pretty sure my thinking is way off!

I think what I'm trying to do is really simple and i'm just making it more complicated than it needs to be.

I am trying to build a simple patch that alternates chord voices from A/B, for instance a 251 progression alternating between voicing A: 1 3 5 7 or B: 5 7 1 3, for each chord when the button is pressed for a say the 2 chord it will alternate between A or B, and when the next chord is played 5 it will select the voicing alternate to the one previously played.

I know it's a simple task, I've tried doing it with the chord triggering a toggle the toggle changing an integer 0 or 1, so then I could try and compare, but I think unknowingly made a feedback loop trying to connected the toggles together.

Can anyone think of a more rational solution to my problem then the way I'm trying to solve it?
