iidc control in windows

September 26, 2006 | 5:22 am

Is there any sort of control over firewire cameras in XP’s jit.dx.grab
like there is in OSX jit.qt.grab? I’m looking to kill all the
auto-focus, gain, and adjustment crap in the camera since it will be
used for motion tracking.

Anyone have experience doing this in Windows? Or any camera
suggestions for control of these things?

Thanks,

~s

there is no support afaik, i "interfaced" the supplied camera settings software using an automation program, such as autoit3

hi, yair.

i’m facing a similar problem right now – a (logitech) usb-webcam, which is used in an installation using MAX5, who always goes back to its default settings after reboot. no help available from customer’s support.

could you be so nice and share your AutoIt3 script that "interfaced" your camera ? just to get me started …

thanks a lot

@jeremy: i assume there’s still no full cam-settings support (most important to turn all automatic flags off !) in jit.dx.grab, right ?

(most of the camera’s settings are customizable from within MAX5 though, but sadly not all …)
