I just attached a lovely guppy GF033C firewire camera to my PC, and although it works fine using it’s dedicated software, Max/MSP cannot see the thing. I’m using the jit.dx.grab object, as I’m on windows XP.

I remember reading all sorts of discussion on this forum before getting the camera, that any IIDC firewire camera should work.

Since this one is IIDC compatible, I’m wondering, is there something I’ve missed?

I only get 25fps as opposed to the 60 that the camera is capable of, but then again that is good enough for most tasks!
