im very new and need help!

hey – very new to all of this – just wondering if someone can quickly tell me an object that lets me load a midi file into MAX…

"detonate" is one object you could use. Depends….

seq can do that too…

i thought seq was for recording using a controller or a synth.. i want to actually load pre-recorded MIDI files from my hard drive

so… seq can do that. Have a look to the help file.

tutorial 35, page 171
see the summary on page 178
seq and follow are definitely the way to go

But is there a way to import MULTI track files into MAX, and then deal with them separately?
