will i be able to import a max patch into extend? or use patchers in an Extend patch that i’ve saved with Max? Does Extend use the same search path as MAx?

I’m wondering if its worth finishing patches i’m working on now, that i want to run inside Live, or whether i’ll have to build them from scratch…

Yeah you can paste your existing Max 5 patches into MFL devices.

And they use the same search path as the editor app (MaxMSP)

The big change is that you will want to use Live specific parameter objects and UI objects for your device. But these are mostly analogous to existing max objects

e.g.

live.dial
live.slider
live.numbox

etc.

-A
