Importing real Time photo canon 400d

Hello,
I don’t arrive to know how to connect my caméra canon eos 400d by usb to max msp jitter.
I use jit.dx.grab (pc) or jit.qt.grab (mac) to have video live.
I want taking photos in live show and display them.

is there an other command for photography?

Thanks!!

Thank you for answer RobTheRich!
yes my camera produces .jpg so if I want to display my photo in quicktime, I command to eos utility (for canon caméra) to send photo and she appears in quicktime, so it’s compatible to quicktime…

have an idea dear Rob?

I too have been trying to figure out how to do this. Would make such high-quality time-lapse stuff. Anyone!?

dunno much about cron script, apart from its unix commands which probably run from terminal app in osx.

or u could look into applescript or automator scripts to import your photos…

So one step with this patch:

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –

I find this here:
http://cycling74.com/forums/topic.php?id=19321#post-101925
this permit to show in max photos who are in a file and to import it.
but it’s already not automatic.

I have found, it’s not automatic but it’s works:
put the js and patch in the same folder of the photos
Open the patch, double-click on the js and change the directorie of the folder.
Click on Matago, and the files are in umenu
