The [preset] object saves all its data with the patch, if you want a way to write this data to a file on your hard drive then look at the pattr family of objects. It can create an xml file of all your settings.

Preset can save files, and read them back. I just discovered the file format is not binary anymore, but a nice xml file with a ".maxpresets" extension.

Moze, with your patch, I can save a file to the disk, and reload it later (just send the clearall message to [preset] before you read your file back). Note that you checked "save preset in patcher".

For serious preset management, you should go the [pattr] way, and use [preset] only as a UI.

finaly I record in a "coll", but the object "preset" is simpler to use than the other solutions

I use pattr for my patch. But there, I want just to collect sets of data, then to be able to recover them simply. 

in fact, I would like right knowledge if I have a problem with max or if it is max which bug.
