Initial enable issues

If i have set initial enable to 1 and have given an initial value to a pattr object that is placed within a bpatcher what steps must i take to make those initial values work?

this is badly phrased question, but basically, the behavior i am getting is the parameters are dropping to the minimum when the max for live patch in which i use the abstraction is opened, but work perfectly well (or as i expect–initializing to the desired values) when i open the abstraction in max.
