inputing still images

I am a moderately new Jitter user and have some questions for a patch I am working on.

I am building a basic video mixer patch, and I am interested in adding an additional layer of text/still images to go on top of the video while it is running. Is there an object that can do this?

on a related note, is there an object that will knock out the alpha channel like alphablend, but without lowering the opacity?

you can try jit.lcd, but a better option, imo, is jit.gl.text2d/3d for dynamic text. for images you can use jit.gl.texture applied to whatever geometry you want to use (jit.gl.videoplane).

jit.alphablend?
assuming you mean the source material has an alpha channel.
