inputing still images

I am a moderately new Jitter user and have some questions for a patch I am working on.

I am building a basic video mixer patch, and I am interested in adding an additional layer of text/still images to go on top of the video while it is running. Is there an object that can do this?

on a related note, is there an object that will knock out the alpha channel like alphablend, but without lowering the opacity?

I got some helpful feedback to my last post. thanks in advance!

you can try jit.lcd, but a better option, imo, is jit.gl.text2d/3d for dynamic text. for images you can use jit.gl.texture applied to whatever geometry you want to use (jit.gl.videoplane).

jit.alphablend?
assuming you mean the source material has an alpha channel.

you need to be a little more specific if you want more useful help.
