making the "real" move to max6, I have a few questions/problems :

_I tend to use and like the GMEM's Bargraf~ (another meter) UI object. When I installed it in max5, it also appeared on the "palette" (from which i can choose and drag all the UI objects).

in max6 it ain't so - when typing in a new object "bargraf~" the object is created, but I don't see it on the list of objects

___same questions (3-rd party objects not shown, even the non-graphic ones) for all the great libraries, such a s Percolate and Litter

For UI objects, there seems to be some important stuff going on in the file palette1.json (also palette2, palette3), located in /Applications/Max 6/Cycling '74/object-palettes/

I haven't worked out exactly what needs to be done from looking at these files. Hopefully there is either some information in the documentation or someone who does know what is going on here can say a word or two.

You also need to have the .svg file for the UI object in the object-palettes folder.

You can still instantiate 3rd party UI objects by creating an empty object box in your patch and typing the object name in. At least that works for the custom UI objects I work with.

On the Litter Power front: the the Max 5 version of Litter Power (LP v1.8) seems to be working happily under Max 6. I am not aware of any problems. If you should find any, please let me know.

Third-party objects are not supported by the object explorer in the current release of Max. In the forthcoming release Max it will be possible to add them but the process is different than it was for Max 5.
