Here is the (edited) info I sent in a private message to Dan Nigrin…

I made an aggregate device in audio/midi setup that includes only my MOTU
828MKII at 44.1 and 512 buffer size. I select the aggregate device in the
JackPilot preferences with 44.1 and 512. I select the jack router in MSP
with 44.1 and 512. In Kontakt I select the jack router and latency jumps to
22-23 ms without variability but 22-23 ms works out to a buffer of about
1024 if my math is correct.

Either Max or Kontakt work fine by themselves and I can include iTunes and
Quicktime Player too. Starting either Max or K2 after the other one is
running usually causes a crash of the second one.

I plan to join the yahoo forum and I will send the crash logs.
