.jfx files not recognized (OS X)

October 3, 2009 | 4:03 am

Greetings,

I recently saved a handful of matrixsets out of a patch on my macbook pro (10.6.1). Each matrixset has approximately 80-90 matrixes (images) in them.

Of the eight I saved (4 unique sets saved in duplicate), only one is recognized by Max/MSP as a valid .jfx file. While trying to load the other files via the file browser they are grayed out. On closer inspection, I noticed that in the file information for the non-working files, the file ‘kind’ is displayed as ‘J2 fax’.
The working .jfx file has a file ‘kind’ of ‘Document’.

I cannot seem to find a way to change the file ‘kind’ of the non working files. Any suggestions?

I have attached an image of the files as shown in OS X list mode.

Thank you

Errr.. the one that I assume is working (listed as ‘Document’) has the extension of .jxf, NOT .jfx.
