jit.gl.hap's movie sounds in Max (MSP)

September 3, 2013 | 8:34 pm

Hi,

So, i know that jit.gl.hap doesn’t understand ‘soc’. We can’t use spigot~ for now.

I’m looking for a work around… a way to catch jit.gl.hap’s movie sounds in Max (MSP).
Any ideas ?

best bet would be to export the sound track as an audio file, load up with groove~, and sync jit.gl.hap to the groove~ playback. make sure you have jit.gl.hap playback stopped (@autostart 0), and simply send time messages to control the playback.

there should be examples of doing this on the forums, with qt.movie, where jit.gl.hap can be substituted.

no need to export the audio before. your can read in buffer with the same step that you read the movie and then flying synchronized like this:

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –

@rob:
how is the loadram for .hap going?
difficult stuff?

it’s on the list.
no promises or timeframe though.
