jit.gl.model how to get the dimensions, size

hi all,

is there a way to get the dimensions of an imported jit.gl.model?
I also have this problem with jit.gl.3dtext. How can I get the differing dimensions of two different textlines in 3d?

thanks

Hello,

here are two ways to do it:

1. Obj file is just a text file, you could read it in javascript,
look for the vertex tags(V x y z) and look for the minimum and
maximum values there;
2. Turn on matrixoutput mode for jit.gl.model, and put it through jit.
3m: you’ll get min/max coords(one matrix per drawgroup if I remember
correctly).

you should also take scale into account.
