Hi.

I’ve built a patch on the Mac using jit.gl.text2d with transform_reset2 in order to superimpose text (fps) in a fixed screen location independently of the camera movement/rotation. The results were as expected.
Opening this patch in Windows did not produce the same results. It seemed transform_reset2 was not in effect. Opening the jit.gl.text2d Inspector, I’ve noticed that in Windows that property doesn’t exist. Trying to see if there was something else missing, I’ve noticed there are several OB3D properties missing from the Windows version:
rotate, rotatexyz, transform_reset and viewalign.

Is there any technical reason for this difference between jit.gl.text2d in Mac and Windows’ versions?

Thanks in advance.

Can anyone confirm this behavior of jit.gl.text2d in Windows?
Just open the object’s inspector and check if the properties are missing…

Thanks.

I agree that jit.gl.text2d does not support rotate on Windows32 Max 5.1.8.

I see in the jit.gl.text2d reference page in the Max jitter help is a disclaimer that the object doesn’t support many features like these on Windows.

Thank you for your answer. I didn’t notice the references on the object’s reference page regarding the differences in implementation between Mac OS X and Windows versions.
