I’m trying to let two Macs communicate. I have two really simple patches. One with jit.net.send and one with jit.net.recv. @port 7474 or 8000 (I tried both) and @ip 192.168.1.xxx (the IP of the receiver).
The sender is running the Max authoring software, the receiver only the Max Runtime. Both computers can connect seamlessly. But when I send a message from sender to receiver, the Runtime crashes.
If I send a message from the Mac that runs the Max Runtime to the Mac that runs the Max software, nothing happens. No crash, but no received message as well. Although both Macs are connected. Bit strange, probably the message got lost in the network.
I use a Macbook Pro (Max) and a Mac Pro (Max Runtime), both running Mac OS X 10.8.4 and Max 6.1.3. On both computers the firewall is off. Can anyone reproduce this bug? Any tips what to do?
Thanks in advance,
