jit.pwindow won't display

January 26, 2009 | 2:11 am

I have just installed Max 5 with Jitter (trial) on my new compaq laptop (running vista 32bit), but when I open the examples or any other patch, the jit.pwindow doesn’t display anything, only a shaded box with the words "jit.pwindow". It always worked straight away before now…as you can probably tell I’m a beginner so be nice! :)

Can you post a screenshot? Sounds like it’s not properly loading the external.

Hi, thanks for the quick reply. It was quicktime that was the problem, a reinstall sorted it, thanks :)

Yes. When Quicktime is not installed, Max doesn’t recognize most or all jitter objects.
