jit.qt.grab doesn't show dv camera on reboot

I'm making a greenscreen installation with a standard definition DV camera. The computer is a mac mini with a fully updated 10.6. The camera is attached to the mac mini by a 9pin Firewire 800 to 4pin Firewire 400 cable. Max is version 5.1.3.

When the camera is left on and the computer is rebooted, if I open up a jit.qt.grab component, the stream is black until I unplug and replug the firewire cable. The jit.qt.grab opens without errors. Opening, closing, and reopening the component doesn't do anything.

Thoughts?

It turned out it was the camera (either the model or the camera itself.) It was a Panasonic PV-GS200 and I swapped it for a Panasonic PV-GS320 and now it's fine.

Hi , You can take a look of the help file of jit.qt.grab, there is a message command called something like get device. Then it will output a list of Device name (put it to a umenu), then feedback to jit.qt.grab to change your device.
