jit.qt.movie loading problems

Hey there

I am trying to get a jit.qt.movie object to autoload a .jpeg image.

Previously this has worked fine but recently has stopped working

I thought it might be a problem with the jpeg image but i can manually click on read and select the required jpeg file,

Any help would be greatly accepted

Yours

As is often the case, what you posted is very little help. What platform? What OS version? What versions of Max/Jitter? What is the specific sequence of actions that fail? Error messages in the Max window? Can you provide us with a sample patch?

Without this basic information, it’s anyone’s guess.

Greg

Thanks for that advice, i am using Windows XP, jitter 1.2.4
Max/Msp version 4.5.4

My flatmate helped me figure this problem out, The problem was iwht the file extension i was using, i was trying to open a .jpeg file when i needed in max to write ‘read ***.jpg’ so yea

But thankyou for you help. this is my first time posting on this forum, i shall be a lot more specific next time i ask a question

Cheers

Non problemo est. It’ll help you immensely next time to
provide the info up front. About a squillion people could
have looked at an example patch and give you advice
on something of that nature.
