jit.qt.movie/jit.qt.record export to 3G?

February 3, 2006 | 2:51 am

hi

is there a way to export a quicktime movie to 3G(PP, PP2) format either from jit.qt.movie or jit.qt.record?

i.e. i would like to be able specify export format/codec/etc. directly (automatically, without dialog box) instead of using
[export fulldialog] message to jit.qt.movie.

alternatively, could you suggest a good QT to 3G converter that would run in command-line mode is os x.

thanks,
liubo

I just used jit.qt.movie to export a movie to 3G. The
"getexporterlist" message ought to list all available exporters on
your system, permitting you to choose them with the "exporter"
attribute. You should be looking inside of the "p export" subpatcher
in the jit.qt.movie helpfile for more info on this.

This is a lot harder than you’d think, although it’s on my list for a
rainy couple of weeks.
