"jit.scissors" error

January 4, 2008 | 3:12 pm

Hi all, and Happy New Year :-)

I was curious about the very popular "motiontomidi" patch.

There were some small things I fixed (since I work on PC under Windows XP), suche dx instead qt in the [jit.dx.grab] object or
this:
• error: expr: illegal comma ,
800000

But the main problem remains – the contonuous error message:

• error: jit.scissors: mismatch dim

I don’t understand what is wromg in the jit.scissors object and since I’am quite new in the Jitter-World, I’ll appreciate, if somebody help me to fix the problem and to run this program.

Many thanks in advance!

this is about the motiontomidi patch from make magazine, isn’t it?
i have not used it myself.
let us assume that the version you downloaded was OK.
maybe the problem comes from the situation you use it in.
does the message dissappear when
- a camera is connected and enabled
- multiple points are detected

good luck

No problem with the web camera, it opens it.
I tested both, color disabled (it works in grey scale, right?)and enabled.
At the point I click ON, the message:
• error: jit.scissors: mismatch dim
comes out in million copies (looped).
