I'm going through the tutorials and loving MAX. I ran into a snag, however, with Jitter_Tuorial_14 'Matrix Positioning'. To summarize the problem here's what I sent off to support:

I’m currently exploring the Demo version of Max 5 and I have 12 days left on my trial. However, the program keeps crashing and closing with no warning. It happened once yesterday and now it happened twice in a row today. I’m very excited about this program, but the crashing is a problem.

Is there any compatibility issues with XP, iTunes, Outlook, Adobe products, IE, etc. that may account for this behavior? I regularly update XP. I’m currently on service pack 3. I was using Jitter Tutorial 14 on Matrix Positioning at the time of today’s two crashes.

This tool is exactly what I need, so any advice on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I then went to a different tutorial with no problem. I came back to Tut_14 and changed the jit.window to a jit.pwindow and so far so good. My hypothesis is that stand alone displays via jit.window on XP are unstable. Can anyone deny or support this assumption? Is there a way to make sure jit.window behaves in Windows?

I tried to reproduce this problem but was unable to do so. I think

Hi Josh,
I tried to reproduce this problem but was unable to do so.  I think
you'll definitely want to follow up with support on Monday regarding
this issue.  They should be able to help you get it resolved.  I tried
it on WinXP SP3.
