running the following patch i get the error in the topic line. i read the video file and when i click on the toggle to start banging away i get the nastiness. any ideas? the machine specs are below. any help would be much appreciated. thanks!

windows 7 home premium 64 bit
max 5.1.9 (94861)
AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series Graphics Card
Intel i7-2600 CUP @ 3.4 GHz

do you only get that one error or a flood of them? Could you go to Options > OpenGL Status and use the copy to clipboard button to paste your graphics system data here?

just the one error. this was in max 5.1.9 , so it doesnt have an OpenGL Status menu that i can find. however, i did install Max 6.0.0 (50567) just now to get the info. interestingly this error doesn't appear in Max 6. here's the OpenGL Status info from Max 6. I don't have a max 6 license yet, so this project will have to be done in max 5.

Thanks for the info. The error is totally harmless. The fact that it doesn't happen in Max6 is wonderful! A lot of the OpenGL stuff has been reworked and improved.
