Jpg. Images will not work when I build my standallone

April 2, 2010 | 4:56 pm

When I build my app I have add all the files using add files into the script. When I build the app the image will no longer show but the sounds will play. The app works on the computer I built it on but not other computers.

here is what the max window says

Jitter 1.7.0 installed
jit.gl.shader: unable to find CG framework.
newobj: jit.openexr: No such object
jit.gl.texture: jit.openexr not found, openexr support unavailable
sfplay~: no open file
print: open Ooc.aif
print: open Oed.aif
print: open Ahe.aif

No clue why it won’t work on other macs.

Are you on a Mac? I suggest you manually add your files to My.app (right-click) show Package Contents> Contents>Support
Also, you should check the documentation for how to add frameworks/shaders (I think it’s in the Max help under Appendix D?), if you don’t need them and space is an issue, don’t worry about the error, otherwise, add the jitter-shaders folder and the jit.openexr.mxo (in jitter-externals) to your support folder too.

Hope this helps.

I tried doing that and it did not work. I even tried now making a message for each jpg. image. but this is what I get

I have no clue what to do because when I build one of the jitter examples the same thing happened. The only way I can get the image to show is if I have a read message for get image and I find them in my finder. So i’m putting up the patches in hopes some one can help.

I fixed it. You have to put the file path into the messages.
