Apologies in advance if I'm missing something obvious...

I'm a MXJ newb looking to get a Python interpreter running in Max. Jython seems to be the best option but I can't for the life of me figure out how to install it. I've looked at all the documentation I can find and the readme suggests that the installation documentation is embedded in one of the accompanying java files. I just don't know how to get at it.

I was wondering if this is still a working option in 2018. I found where the .jar files are supposed to go (see screenshot), but I found the examples less than enlightening. There wouldn't happen to be some other examples/tutorial somewhere, would there? I really need to run some Python scripts from within Max, but I'm not aware of any other options (for Windows that is).
