Okay guys well I have this little patch here that you use to select the pitches on a kslider and the notes you select are stored in a coll that can be played in a sequence when its turned on. I need someone to help explain to me how this patch works in a lot of detail because I'm confused on how it exactly works and I need to explain it for a project. Sort of just confused about the nth and how the zl things work I suppose. If anyone could shed some light that would be great! Patch listed below

There is a help file for [zl] (and all) objects, it explains very clearly how/what it does. Your tutor is right to ask for explanations, to exclude plagiarism. However, if you need to learn Max.......then you need to learn Max.

does that mean you want us to do you homework for you? did you spend any quality time with the patch and the documentation? there is nothing in this very simple patch the helpfiles of the individual objects don't cover!! open the helpfile for "coll" for example and look, an explanation of what "nth x y" does on the very front patch... the zl objects are documented fairly well...

Here is the patch with a "bit" of explanation and a second version that does the same thing a bit differently... if you have specific questions, or don't understand a functionality after you tried to understand it (meaning, read the helpfile AND the reference file!!!) feel free to post back.
