Kyma in/out

July 16, 2008 | 7:30 am

I’d like to run Max through Kyma. I tried Soundflower, but could only get it to run at 32 bits. Am I doing something wrong, or does Soundflower always run at 32?

Did you install the 3rd party audio driver for Kyma? That would be the
only way to pass audio into Kyma… Only if you want to use in addition
some other audio in/out, you’d need something like soundflower, though
an aggregate device would be sufficiant…

Fortunately I never heard the sound of Kyma coming out of the Apple
sound card…;-)

Caveat; I don’t use this setup but… the only "software only" way
that I’m aware of is to installed the beta A/VC firmware on the
Capybara’s Flame interface ND then setup an aggregate audio device in
Audio MIDI Setup.

(see the Symbolic Sound wiki for more information).
