largest / smallest possible float number

Hello,

are there constants for this inside gen, or is there any hack sparing me the discrete typing of a 308-or-so digits number?

Best,
Christoph

Yeah, I know about the technical background of the IEEE floating point format, but how do you notate it in gen~? If I try

1e+023

it gives me synthax errors. And I did not find symbols for positive or negative infinity defined anywhere.
Best,
Christoph

Ah ! then i don’t know. If i type 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 in a float number box, i get "inf", if i type -99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 it returns "-inf". But if i type "99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999" in a message box then fromsymbol and flonum, it gives 1 ; so it might not work in gen~.
