i'm working on a patch in user2 which will use lite LEDs to aid a control surface. the patch should have two pages of lights, accessable via the vol and pan buttons on the launch. loading the patch first time seems to work, and both pages can be seens, but if i come out of user2 and say, into mixer mode, then back again, the observing the buttons seems to stop, until you re-choose the launchpad from the dropdown menu at the top. i cant work out why this is.

i think it maybe to do with that i have told one part of the patch to only observe certain buttons when in user2 and not to obsrver in other modes, but coming back into user 2 mode seems that it still is not observing.

sorry for the messy patching. this is all trial and error and from tutorials for me. any tips would be great thanks

Sorry mate, not going to be at my mac for a few days to look at the device itself, but what i do is observe the user mode number and have a sel 2 attached to it so that it bangs each time the user 2 is selected....

I then have message boxes for every pad that store the last known state, these are connected to the user 2 bang and sent to the output so that you bring back the correct lighting each time, you'll probably need a deferlow or two to make sure that you light the pads after the inevitable system refresh that'll turn all the lights off...

i think i got that. what i went for was rebanging the message boxes populated with the ids from the vol and pan buttons each time the user2 id was banged, if that makes sense, so now i have something that works with what i was going for.

if you get a chance to still take a look at the patch that would be great, as i think the logic i used in terms of the initial ordering of lighting the pads on launch might be all messed up, as when i go back into user 2 mode, as much as they light the way i want, i think they are lighting several times where maybe i am sending multiples of the same message when i dont need to.

The global warming on mars thing is a classic misdirection or a "wagging of the dog" by the right because they lost the arguement that man isn't causing global warming and there trying to change there talking point. And neon and LED bulbs can produce light just a natural looking as incandencent bulbs while being much cheaper by using less energy which would also conserve energy resources.
