LCD directly to projector?

November 21, 2008 | 9:42 pm

Hello all,

I have a date with a dancer in a few days to try out a new patch I wrote that draws lines onto an LCD object based on movement tracked by cv.jit.track. I was wondering if there is a way to project only the LCD object? Can LCD be hooked up to jit.displays?

Any knowledge would be greatly appreciated!

there’s an object called [jit.lcd] that mimics most of the functionality of
[lcd] but outputs a jitter matrix (so you can send it to a [jit.window] or
whatever). if you want better resolution graphics, you should check out
using [jit.gl.sketch].
best.

yes! thank you so much. i am working on doing this same thing with jit.gl.sketch right now, but lcd provided a simpler more immediate option for this project (i’m also a beginner with max). thanks again!
